Free glitter overlays for portraits and celebrations

Sparkles includes two transparent PNG overlays: Champagne Sparkles has soft warm glints; Silver Sparkles has cooler, brighter flecks. Place either file on its own layer above a photograph. The download includes a quick start, a printable layer workflow and a final review sheet. The page photograph is illustrative and does not show the overlay applied.

Keep the moment in focus

Choose an image with space around the subject. Scale the PNG to the photo, then lower its opacity until the glitter feels like an accent. Add a mask and remove flecks from eyes, teeth, skin highlights and any meaningful detail. For a celebration image, concentrate glints near existing light sources or in negative space. Avoid adding sparkle to every frame in a gallery.

Check the finish

Review at full size and on a phone. Bright dots near facial features and repeated patterns can be distracting. Compare the edit against the original and export a copy, keeping your layered master intact. These are transparent images, not Lightroom presets or automatic one-click edits.
