Newborn

Free Newborn Photography Presets & Session Kit | Session Savvy

Prepare for a calm newborn session with practical family communication, a flexible session plan and an editing approach built around gentle color.

The look: The Olive & Linen editing direction aims for creamy whites, muted olive greens, warm skin tones and soft contrast. Start with naturally soft light and preserve the individual colors of the people you photograph.

Best starting light: Soft window light, neutral textiles and uncluttered home settings. Mixed artificial light and strong color casts need individual correction.

Fall mini sessions

Plan a manageable afternoon of fall mini sessions with a realistic timeline, pricing worksheet and clear client messages.

The look: A natural autumn direction: warm foliage, controlled reds and recognizable skin tones. Keep the season present without turning people orange.

Best starting light: Consistent open shade or gentle late-day light with autumn foliage. Deep shade and direct sun usually need separate exposure and color adjustments.

Portraits

Free Portrait Photography Presets & Session Kit | Session Savvy

Give your next portrait shoot a clear purpose, a short shot list and a reliable follow-up, with practical templates you can adapt.

The look: A restrained portrait direction with natural-looking skin, balanced contrast and clean color. Preserve differences between skin tones rather than forcing a uniform tint.

Best starting light: Even window light or open shade with a simple background. Colored walls, mixed light and strong reflected color need extra white-balance attention.

Choose the session first. Then choose the look.

A useful photography kit connects the work before and after the shoot. Start with your session type, read the preparation guide, and adapt the client messages to your business. When a preset package is available, use it as an editing starting point alongside the planning resources.

Newborn photography

Plan around soft window light, simple family interactions and room for breaks. Neutral textiles can support a gentle editing direction, but believable skin color comes first.

Fall mini sessions

Build your timetable around usable light and allow time between clients. Price the editing and communication as well as the minutes spent photographing. Warm foliage should not mean orange skin.

Portrait photography

Agree on the purpose of the portraits and the crops the client needs. A short shot list and clear follow-up help you deliver a useful, consistent set.

Make a preset work for your photograph

Correct exposure and white balance, apply the preset, then check skin and highlight detail against the original. Separate images made in different lighting before syncing settings. A preset cannot rescue every lighting problem or replace individual review.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you start

Are the resources free?

Yes. Available kits can be downloaded without an account or an email address. Using Session Savvy for your business is a separate, optional next step.

What file formats will I receive?

Each ready kit lists its exact contents and verified compatibility. Preset packages use XMP files, with practical companion guides in printable HTML. Check the individual kit before downloading.

How do I install and adjust a preset?

Unzip the package and follow its application-specific installation guide. Exposure, white balance and skin tones still need individual attention. Read Adobe’s preset installation instructions for your application.
