Define the stages and what completes each one
This guide is for photographers whose booking process lives across memory, email threads, and scattered notes. Write the stages in plain language: new inquiry, fit confirmed, scope agreed, booking requirements complete, preparation underway, and ready for the session. For each stage, identify the evidence needed to move forward and who owns the next action.
Avoid treating “email sent” as proof that the client has understood or completed something. A questionnaire is complete when the necessary answers have been received and reviewed. A booking is confirmed under your actual agreed process, not merely because someone expressed interest. Make those distinctions visible to yourself and clear to the client.
