Example only. General booking requests need photographer approval.
A scheduling link can help someone pick a time. Photography also needs the person, the session, and the next steps to stay clear after that request arrives.
Create booking types with a duration and availability. Set weekly windows, breaks, buffers, blocked dates, and how far ahead clients may request.
Clients choose an available time and provide their details. Their request holds that slot while you review it.
You approve or decline. Approval creates or connects the client record, adds an event to your Session Savvy calendar, and queues notifications.
Important: A general booking request does not automatically charge a card, create an invoice, send a questionnaire, or create a full session record. Those are separate steps you can take in your workflow.
Once a booking is approved, the client and calendar are in place. You can continue with a session workflow, collect preparation details, send an invoice, and keep communication tied to the client.
These tools are connected in Session Savvy, but the general booking flow does not silently complete every step for you.
Send an invoice as a separate step, offer supported online card payment or record an offline payment, and follow the balance.
Explore photography invoicing →Ask about the people, priorities, and details that will help you prepare. Share a questionnaire when the client is ready.
Explore client questionnaires →Keep contact details and future work centered on the person. Continue with communication and a client portal as needed.
Explore client management →Short, back-to-back appointments need an event page, fixed slots, capacity, and clear payment expectations. Session Savvy has a dedicated mini-session booking flow for that format, including a retainer or full payment where configured.
Many scheduling tools handle availability well. When comparing options, ask where the client record, session preparation, payment status, and follow-up will live after someone picks a date.
Session Savvy brings those jobs into the same photography workspace. You decide when to send the questionnaire, create an invoice, or begin the session workflow.

Start with a booking request. Continue in one place.
Use general booking types for family portraits, newborn consultations, senior portraits, headshots, branding calls, and other appointments you want to review before confirming. For weddings or other custom work, an inquiry and personal conversation may be the better first step.
Explore inquiry forms →Session Savvy’s base software subscription is $0 per month. Online payments carry a 1% platform fee plus Stripe processing; optional paid services may have separate costs. Check the current pricing details before deciding how you will collect payment.
Online payment fees apply when you collect money.
Create a free account →It lets photographers publish available appointments and collect booking details online. A photography workspace should also help you manage the client and the work around that appointment.
Yes. Clients can choose from available times for a booking type and submit a request. You approve or decline the request before it becomes a confirmed calendar booking.
Session Savvy creates or connects the client record, adds an event to its calendar, and queues notifications. You can then handle session details, questionnaires, invoices, and other follow-up separately.
No. The general booking request does not automatically collect payment. You can use invoicing and online payment tools as a separate step. The dedicated mini-session flow can collect a retainer or full payment when configured.
Availability checks the Session Savvy calendar and mini-session slots. External events must be imported or otherwise present there to affect availability; do not assume unimported calendars are checked.
Questionnaires are available in Session Savvy, but a general booking request does not automatically send one. Share it as part of your follow-up workflow.
The base software subscription is $0 per month. Online payments have a 1% platform fee plus Stripe processing, and optional paid services may cost extra. See current pricing.
Set up your booking types, share your link, and build the client journey around each session.
